The purpose of the Committee is to promote the active participation of lawyers in the elaboration and reformation of criminal law, as well as strengthening their role in this process; it also ensures the provision of guarantees. In order to achieve these goals, the Committee elaborates draft laws, proposals and recommendations on criminal law reforms. The Committee also holds meetings with state agencies and NGOs.
